Gulia's Turkey Burgers

Last week, we visited a friend who cooked us a scrumptious lunch. Since Kieran had been refusing dinner for almost two weeks now (he's going through an extremely fussy phase), I was completely surprised to see him stuff these turkey burgers down faster than I could feed them to him. When he was done, he cried for more. These were a definite hit.

Ingredients:
2 tbs organic olive oil
1.5 lb ground turkey meat
Half an onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbs water

Directions:
Mix together turkey, egg, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Roll into medium sized balls. Add olive oil to pan at low-medium heat. Once warm, add turkey burgers to pan, flattening (only slightly) with spatula. Add water and simmer on low (covered) for approx 40 mins, flipping the burgers occasionally.

Serve with sauce (on the side):
1 tbs dairy and gluten free mayo (I used Kraft Real Mayo)
1 tbs gluten free yellow mustard (I used Trader Joe's brand)
1 tbs clover honey

This sauce is delicious! I even catch my son dipping his fingers in and licking them when he thinks I'm not looking!

I served this with arugula and dried cranberries. He was not a fan or the arugula (I'm not surprised, it has such a strong flavor), but picked out and ate all of the cranberries. :-)
